Twitter experience paper in ED 505.
Professional Twitter Account

Through tweeting through a professional twitter account, I was able to learn to navigate a form of socially media I do not use personally on a regular basis. I learned through this experience, my school has professionals who only deal with social media and technology problems. This was useful information to know in case I ever had a problem with my class webpage or other web 2.0 applications that I use in my classroom. Although twitter has been around since 2006, it is still a useful and engaging tool for students to use to communicate. This application is easily accessible to all users. It is also a method for students to provide a gist or summary for what they have learned in 140 characters or less.

What I believe is most importantly, I was able to advance and grow professionally through twitter followers. I follow local education agencies, state department of education twitter handles, and other special education agencies to gain insightful knowledge to improve student learning and enhance my own professional development.
